Another video up!

Hi people,
I just posted another video up today.. this time about the skin care items I'm bringing up with me tomorrow! I'm going to be starting my second year at college and honestly, I'm just about as nervous as I was last year, which is kind of sad! I haven't met my roommate yet, and she's already moved in.. (she's an exchange student, so that's why...)... also, the living arrangement I have is much different and much more... communal... than my freshman year heh. So it will be different and hopefully it won't be different in a bad way. :\  Anyway, I ramble. Please check out the video below if you're interested. I'm not too good/comfortable with talking to the camera, as you can probably tell, but I'm trying my best.

Makeup Favorites/Things I'm Bringing with me to College

Hello everyone--I'm still in considerable pain from my surgery (not sure if it's an infection.. I hope not, but I'm taking multiple Advil every day and last night I woke up at 4:30 AM to throbbing jaw pain..) so I'm not making a video today. I don't feel like talking much, let alone to a camera, and I'm tired and in pain. But, to pass the time of being basically bed-ridden and bored, I'm going to do a little post on here.

I leave for school again this year on this coming Sunday so I'm in the midst of doing some light packing (my college is only about an hour and a half away so it's not such a huge deal). This is going to be my second/sophomore year of college, so I'm not going to bring nearly as many things as I did last year... Anyway, I was thinking about what makeup to bring, so I decided to narrow it down to my favorites and things that I use whenever I do wear makeup (I want to wear more makeup this year and make a better "visual impression" on my classmates and professors haha).

So, this is what I'm bringing to school with me this year. These are only my favorites and only my makeup necessities. :) However, I am a lipstick/lipgloss junkie..so there might be more than one or a few item I'm bringing for those!

FACE: I'm bringing Revlon ColorsStay Combo/Oily Foundation, ELF Tinted Moisturizer, ELF Setting Spray, and Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I've been using the Revlon for awhile, as well as the pressed powder, and this summer I tried the ELF stuff and figure it's good enough to use at school too. As for a favorite concealer I'm bringing, I haven't decided yet! Haven't found a good enough one yet. Any suggestions for long-wearing, full-coverage concealer for either acne marks or dark circles?

EYES: Eyeshadow Palettes--I'm only bringing three and I realized that I don't have any black eyeshadow. But that's okay--I can always use eyeliner and the MAC beautymarked shade I have in the left-most palette is dark enough. I'm bringing an ELF quad with three MAC shimmery shades and one ELF shade, a Jane palette for some colors, and a Revlon ColorStay quad for truly matte, neutral shades.

From top left to bottom right: ELF Periwinkle, MAC Beautymarked, MAC Antiqued, and MAC Woodwinked. :) All good warm colors (except for the ELF shade which is obviously cool toned)

Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Coffee Bean

My favorite mascara of all time--the Loreal Paris Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara! I have a strong problem with mascaras smudging on me, and this one is the only one that doesn't basically (besides Fiberwig, but that is too expensive!). I like the length and volume I get with this mascara, and I like the primer too. And of course, I always curl my lashes. I'm bringing one from Sephora.

Eyeliners-- Just bringing basic black and white liners--First is the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk for my inner corners of my eyes as well as a base for anything. For my waterline and smaller areas I'm bring the Buxom insider eyeliner in white (not great lasting power but it does just fine). For definition, I'm taking the Revlon ColorStay liquid eyeliner in blackest black and the mechanical pencil liner in black as well. I most commonly use the black pencil to line my upper waterline/tightline.

And underneath it all I need a good primer, so I'm bringing the Urban Decay primer potion. :)

LIPS: I'm a lip junkie, so this was very hard to narrow down what I'm bringing, but yeah.. Basically I have tons and tons of lip products and I mostly wear natural colors or nudes. But I want to branch out so I'm bringing more color this time, like the Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Desire, and the Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. Also, all of these lip products are pretty moisturizing, so that was another way I narrowed down my lipstick hoard. :)

Up close of the Buxom lip conditioner I'm bringing. I wear this when I don't want to wear much on my lips, but want to wear more than just a clear lipbalm. This is in the nudeish shade Copacabana and has a nice minty, tingly feeling on the lips (it does plump a little bit, which is great)

Colors of the lipsticks/lip butters I'm bringing. From left to right-- My ALL-TIME FAVORITE lipstick, MAC Creme d' Nude (just the most perfect nude ever with a fantastic texture and vanilla/frosting smell!), Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle, and Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart.

So that's all I'm planning on bringing with me to school this year in terms of makeup! It is so much less than last year, and hopefully I will use up these products as well to get my money's worth. :) And it really is so much more practical to bring less makeup to college in terms of saving space and not embarrassing yourself in front of others with your 50 different lipsticks and eyeliners!

Swollen Face!

Hi everyone,
here's just an update on me..as I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday morning

My face is swollen and in pain.. so I've been taking advil and aspirin to ease the pain a little.  I've just been in bed, icing and recovering.

>< It's really not a pleasant experience and I hope I will recover soon so I can be active again and make more videos!

I'm going to go back to resting/watching Netflix/playing WoW/playing Minecraft.

Back to School Outfits

Hi all,
I just posted up a new video of back to school outfit ideas. These are more geared towards older students without a dress code (due to short shorts and yeah...) but they can easily be altered and whatever because they are just ideas. :) Also, because of the long-lasting hot weather in California, where I'm from, my outfits are still light and suited for summer. But anyway, here's the video. :)

If you like the video, please check out more of mine, as I have a few out already and I'm planning on uploading one every day for awhile (until I go back to school in about a week and a half.. heh)! When things get busier for me obviously the video stream will lighten up but I'll try to make time for it. :)

Anyway, just a little personal update.. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled on Friday morning. :\ I'm a little nervous for the surgery, but it also means I could be out of commission in terms of videos this weekend! So maybe I'll pre-film multiple ones tomorrow haha. If I can think of good ideas, that is.. I keep watching tips on making your videos more popular and all the tips actual "beauty gurus" say are to make the more popular videos (what's in my purse, etc.), so maybe I'll do that.

Kiehls' Creme de Corps

Good day everyone-- half day at work (I just work a summer job at my father's office so it's pretty lax about taking time off) so I can get ready for my concert! And in the meantime, that means a post. I'm not sure when I'll post pictures of myself or do videos, but for now, pictures of products will suffice.

Introducing my favorite body butter and lotion:

I've been in love with the Kiehl's Creme de Corps body butter. The thing I love about it the most  is how it smells, though. It smells delicious, and I wish it lasted longer on me, but it is a light scent. Personally I think it smells like sweet popcorn a little. But I love it, and the texture of the lotion is smooth and creamy and airy, unlike any other body butter I've used before. It's so luxurious and moisturizing. Also pricey ($36 I believe?), but that's okay. The ingredients are great too--soy milk, honey, shea butter, jojoba butter... my legs stay nice and soft all day when I wear this.

Okay, so I'm a liar

I apologize again for not posting when I said I would! Balancing life and work is hard for me. But anyway, today my laptop arrived, so now I think it will be much easier to blog. I'm also thinking of making videos perhaps, because that seems to be the way to go in these good ole days of youtube's reign. Anyway, look forward to a post tomorrow or on Saturday. I'm going to a concert tomorrow night so maybe I'll post an OOTD for that.

Brief Update

Hello! This is just a little update.. I've been kind of MIA and I wanted to let you know that tomorrow I'll do an actual post of some favorite products, etc. I think.
I've been busy and lazy and just away from the computer since I last posted.

I've also been kind of lazy about working out and eating healthy. :( So I don't think I should post much about the weight loss/getting in shape. Just as a matter of record though, I want to lose about 10 lbs.  My legs are too big for my liking/a lot of people's likings! I hate being pear shaped. Sometimes I think I'm apple shaped though eheheh. But that's another topic altogether about my magical bloating problems!

But yes, tomorrow is a new day and I will post something good and something of interest! With pretty pictures :)

Haul from yesterday and last night!

Hello everyone (or no one! heh)
Yesterday I went thrift shopping during the day and picked up two shirts and a bag (only the bag is pictured... I'm wearing one of the shirts, and the other one is kinda plain and nondescript), and during the nighttimes I went to target and got some makeup, which I plan on doing reviews for and testing them out soon!

For the makeup, I bought Revlon Colorstay Ultimate "Liquid Lipstick" in the shade Prime Pink. The advertisements at the store claimed it was food proof and would last up to eight hours. Prime pink as a color is a midtone pink with a metallic purple sheen I would say... it is pretty cool-toned, unlike how it shows up in the picture to the left.  I am wearing it today and I'm not quite sure if I like it or not yet (the pink color is really barbie pink, pretty bright! I usually like light peachy pink colors, more nude), but I'll update later once I've figured it out. The gloss itself also dries to a non-moisturizing finish because it is supposed to be long-wearing.  I put a sheer gloss over it to make my lips look better.
Moving along, I also bought the NYC In a New York Minute Quick dry nail polish in Prospect Park Pink. It's a very pretty color and once my polka dot nails have disintegrated more I'll try it out.

Finally, I bought a new mascara, because my previous favorite (Loreal Extend Tubes or whatever--the kind with the red and white tube with the primer) was drying out.  I didn't know anything about the Maybelline Illegal Lengths before, but I saw on the packaging that it is a fiber mascara, so that made me want to try it out... I can never use normal mascaras because they always end up smudging on me.  I'm wearing the mascara right now and it seems fine.  Not particularly good or bad.  (EDIT: It smudged on me! Is it the waterproof formula? Sigh the endeavors of finding a mascara that doesn't make me look like a raccoon an hour after I put it on...)
And below is the bag I got from thrifting.  It was like 7 bucks, and it was calling out to me. I really like black and studs, so yep. It has good compartments and a nice long shoulder strap.  This will be my new going-about when I'm not at work bag. Yay!

Anyway that's all for now! Sheesh I can write a lot and still have loads more to want to talk about.. but I have to go now.!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

It's Friday!
So I tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips Wednesday evening... I have used them before and they are a simple way to get a nail design on your nails without spending $30+ at a salon.  These are $9-10. I'm basically terrible at painting my nails in addition, so I would never be able to do this freehand.  X)  I feel because I've used these a few times now, I can give a semi review of these strips... You can find these at Target, Walmart, and some drugstores I bet.

First off, these are like just plain old stickers, yes, but they are/contain some form of actual nail polish, you so still get the smell of nail polish when putting these on, and for removal, you just do as you normally do and take them off with acetone (or you could probably peel them off like I have).

There's a pretty large variety of designs.. the first time I used these I had black and white checkers, and the following time I had a metallic teal blue with black stars. They also have solids as well if I remember correctly. They are a little tricky to put on, as you can probably see... even after the third time doing this I don't have the perfect design placement. But following the instructions inside the box is very helpful. Be sure your nails are CLEAN and swab them down with nail polish removed before you try to stick these on.

The package claims these last 10 days. I'm on my third day now I guess and I have some chipping.  But my nail polish and anything on my nails always chips on me. :(

Project 01

This is now an active blog! I'm actually going to try to document my life once again as I used to when I was little.
So this is another beginning period of documentation... I'm going to call it Project 01 because I like labeling things occasionally, like now. What am I going to write about? Probably about getting into shape and everything that goes along with becoming a better person (including some seriously girly and shallow things, because, well, I want to look better too), because I have decided I want to be happy again, and being a better person could make me happy. I know not many people will read this, if anyone, but this is just a personal thing that I think I should do
